The icing of course, is the validation got from the esteemed jury, who are contemporary peers and are always looking for the next big bang!
The X11 windows system ‘Intrinsics' also defines gadgets and their relationship to widgets (buttons, labels etc.). The gadget was a windowless widget which was supposed to improve the performance of the application by reducing the memory load on the X server. Watching the bicyclists speed down New York streets while staring at their phones is scary enough. Integrating a 4-inch Android touchscreen into the bicycle for navigation, music playback and walk-talkie talking to other people not watching where they’re going, as LeEco has done, is just asking for trouble. But useful!
Pioneer just released their latest line of car gadgets – the Pioneer Nex CarPlay Receiver! As the name states, the Nex acts as a receiver, connects to your iPhone via Apple’s CarPlay connection and gives access to all your smartphone’s on-board and cloud-based features.
Once upon a time we dreamed of eating meal-replacement pills while flying our cars to see a holographic movie. While so much of the future’s useful technology has failed to materialise, there’s one field that has come on in leaps and bounds like an untethered spacewalker, and that’s handwriting-to-typing. Finally you can grab hold of what looks like a normal pen, write as usual, then download everything on to a computer as images and text. If it wasn’t so ruddy simple, you’d think it was witchcraft.
A wall of lights that change color depending on the music streaming out of a nearby device sounds fun, right? That’s exactly what Nanoleaf has been doing for the past few years, and it’s about to get better in 2018. At CES, Nanoleaf announced new square light panels that are touch sensitive. Tap a panel to turn it on or off, change color, or adjust brightness. There’s also a new 12-sided remote that’s up for pre-order right now.
It can be fixed to the inside of the rear car window or dashboard by a power suction cup. It’s remote control for the front of the car fixes to the front windscreen (using power suction cup) or optionally can be stowed in a front compartment (it’s fixing bracket can be removed).

Why you need it: There’s a button on the handle for memorising the maximum and minimum temperatures from its last use – with accuracy to the nearest tenth of a degree. The product to end guesswork about when dinner is done.
We’ve seen this concept before, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. It’s an HD projector that can supplement your game display by filling your walls with action as you play. It’s still just a prototype, but a girl can dream.
Do you lose track of your keys often? Even if it’s only happened to you a couple of times, there’s not much worse than running late for work and not being able to track your keys down. Thankfully, people make things like this: a wireless doohickey that lets you quickly track down whatever you have it attached to (keys, badge, phone, wallet, ferret, etc.). Simple solution. // Source
That’s not the only subscription service for gamers, though. Nvidia had its GeForce now service on show, which, similar to the Blade Shadow service, lets you play demanding games on any hardware, all thanks to the magic of the internet.
This picture isn’t of one super-long screen, it’s three screens next to each other. The bezels are hidden, though, by Asus’ new antibezel kit. It uses lenses to refract the content on the screen edges at a 130-degree angle — essentially using a sort of stealth technology to hide them.
Their lens clip is made of the highest quality polypropylene with a sturdy fire hardened steel spring. These clips will NOT be falling apart in a week like many customers have complained about other products doing!
This mouse has been on our wish list for more than 4 years. But it turned out not to be so easy to make a mouse that does not make the clicking-sound. Finally we have found some patented silent switch and integrated it in a nice and practical mouse.
There is nothing healthy about sitting behind a desk all day, but with the Cubii Elliptical you can burn up to 120 calories an hour just by working. The compact elliptical trainer is especially designed to be used at work. It fits comfortably underneath a desk, is quiet so as not to be distracting to others, is portable, and is designed to provide smooth elliptical movement of the legs while keeping the knees away from the underside of the desk and other sharp edges. Though other under-desk ellipticals exist on the market, Cubii is the newest and one of the least expensive, with prices beginning at $320.
In giving a vague approximation (~) of time Mhin contrasts the specificity and scheduling associated with our daily lives. The unrelenting tick-tock and minute by minute progression is replaced by absolute silence and a slow consistent linear motion.
Moen isn’t the only one trying to change the shower game. French company Smart and Blue showed its Hydrao range of showerheads at CES. They’re kitted out with LED lights that change color, from green to blue to purple to red, based on how long you’ve been showering. The aim here is to cut unnecessarily long showers short, saving you money on utility bills in the process. And you can turn it on without getting out of bed.
