Your parents can scream at you until they’re blue in the face, but it’s not going to make you have better posture. Unless you actively want to change something, you’re not going to, which is why we carry a lot of bad habits into adulthood. Eventually we realize that the things our parents told us to do were for our benefit, and have to begrudgingly change our ways after the fact.
One of the benefits of working in a corporate office is they normally have expensive security systems to protect their assets. You might have anti-virus software for your home office, but the protection against hackers usually stops there.

Smart glasses are far from a new invention. The glasses, which project information onto your retina as you go about your day, once came with clunky equipment attached. Cameras, extra appendages, and microphones made the glasses a bit of an eyesore that easily led to unwanted attention directed at their wearers. Intel’s new Vaunt glasses, however, offer a streamline design that’s vastly more user friendly. The glasses look exactly like regular eyeglasses and are available in various prescription lenses. This means users can enjoy the benefits of the glasses throughout the day without attracting unwanted stares or having to deal with uncomfortable equipment.
The HTC Vive is the best VR headset in the world right now. The controls are intuitive to use, the resolution is incredible, with a 1080p screen per eye, and the base stations mean you can play in a space that’s 13 x 13 feet in size – that’s some serious playing space to swing yourself around in.
As a little aside, there were a couple companies that were trying to tackle the combination music and VR. Aerodrums, a company that allows you to drum without a drum set, has just introduced a VR component. Aerodrums works with traditional drum sticks that have reflective balls at the tip and reflective panels that are attached to your feet. A camera then captures any movements made, allowing you to drum without a physical kit (and, when fed into headphones, without making any noise!). The new upgrade takes this same format but now allows for more immersive drumming using a VR headset. Some drumming pros I spoke to said that although they might not use the VR component themselves, they could see it being incredibly useful for beginners, and as a tool for delivering drum lessons. This was the overall vibe I got from most VR experiences — perhaps fun for beginners, but in terms of a viable alternative for pros, not quite there yet (or maybe just not needed).
