Moen isn’t the only one trying to change the shower game. French company Smart and Blue showed its Hydrao range of showerheads at CES. They’re kitted out with LED lights that change color, from green to blue to purple to red, based on how long you’ve been showering. The aim here is to cut unnecessarily long showers short, saving you money on utility bills in the process. And you can turn it on without getting out of bed.
Acer had me at $9,000 gaming laptop (that’s about £7,300 or AU$12,400). But it also has a ginormous 21-inch curved screen — the first in a laptop — and an eye-tracking camera. Of course, it has nine heat pipes to cool the two GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs and two power supplies, four speakers and two subwoofers, plus it weighs 19.4 pounds (8.8 kg).

Your Butter Spreading Troubles Are Over Most people keep their butter refrigerated, which is great for preserving it, but not so great for spreading it. Instead of the butter spreading evenly over toast or bagels, it stays in one spot, stubbornly clinging to the…
An electric car is not something that all of us are able to afford, although some of us do dream of driving up in a Tesla that offers exceptional acceleration performance with looks that could kill. However, if there is one thing about electric cars that continue to invoke doubt in motorheads, it would be the battery life. Most electric vehicles have to “suffer” from limited range and long charging times (relatively speaking) as opposed to a petrol or diesel-powered ride. Fisker would like to turn such conceptions upside down with their modern day marvel, the EMotion that will be powered by the patent-pending Fisker Flexible Solid-State Battery.
Sling’s parent company Dish just birthed it a sibling for cord cutters and cord nevers who miss local broadcasts that you can only get via a cable or satellite subscription or antenna. AirTV looks like Roku mated with Fisher Price, but you’ll never lose that remote in the couch.
A widely circulated story holds that the word gadget was invented when Gaget, Gauthier & Cie, the company behind the repoussé construction of the Statue of Liberty (1886), made a small-scale version of the monument and named it after their firm; however this contradicts the evidence that the word was already used before in nautical circles, and the fact that it did not become popular, at least in the USA, until after World War I. Other sources cite a derivation from the French gâchette which has been applied to various pieces of a firing mechanism, or the French gagée, a small tool or accessory.
When you are on the move, whether for work, study, or play, there is little worse than running out of juice for your mobile devices. A useful gift a juice bank, such as the Anker PowerCore 10000, which can be thrown into a bag or suitcase and pulled out when needed to give your smartphone or tablet power on the go.

The stealthiest flask ever made. People sometimes tend to get the wrong idea when they see you stumbling around with a flask in your hand… particularly when you’re doing things like sitting in your cubicle at work, reading a book in the library or waiting at a bus…
The origins of the word gadget trace back to the 19th century. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, there is anecdotal (not necessarily true) evidence for the use of gadget as a placeholder name for a technical item whose precise name one can’t remember since the 1850s; with Robert Brown’s 1886 book Spunyarn and Spindrift, A sailor boy’s log of a voyage out and home in a China tea-clipper containing the earliest known usage in print. The etymology of the word is disputed.

Well worth the purchase if you can snag it for $18. It comes with 6 mini Shopkin eggs, two Shopkins, 2 sticker sheets and a plastic cup. The ice cube depicted in the ice dispenser is not included (unless it comes as one of the two) so we use it to dispense any Shopkin we stuff in there. I think this tends to be more fun. The fridge holds a good amount of Shopkins. We have over 30 in there and it still has room for more. I would recommend purchasing this over the Shopkins Vending Machine Tin, which is pretty much a tin box with 2 Shopkins going for the same price. The fridge is a better value.

Batteries aren’t included or even necessary here. That’s because Razer’s new wireless gaming mouse pulls its power directly from its mousepad. So the new Mamba is a few ounces lighter than its predecessors, but it still has Chroma accent lights that you can control from your PC.
It’s a baby monitor. It’s a Amazon Alexa voice-activated smart assistant. It answers your questions, and maybe your kids’ questions, too. It orders more diapers when you run out, and soothes babies back to sleep automatically. It’s the Aristotle, by toymaker Mattel, and it sounds like a new parent’s dream gadget.
